SHOW RULES
All photographs must be 8” x 10” and brought to the third regularly scheduled meeting in October, where we will trim, mount, and tape each entry to the matting boards. You must have your Photo Submission Forms legibly filled out, and accompanied by cash or check. Computer generated title cards will be made from this information. These cards will display the photographer’s name and camera used to take their shot, as well as the assigned photo number. Entry fee is $10 per photo or 3 for $25, which will cover the cost of the mounting board and an 11” x 14” Harbor Gray colored matte (7 1/2” x 9 1/2” white beveled inside opening). All entry fees will be due at this time.. Remember—only photos taken since the prior year’s exhibit are eligible. The club officers will hang all photographs on the first Sunday of November. The Exhibit will be open the next day through the following. A reception—Meet the Photographers—will be on Tuesday of this week, from 3-6 pm. All photographs will be displayed according to the rules of the Arbor Club – no exceptions. Title signs will be displayed above each category - novice, intermediate, advanced, master, modified - separated by a colored display ribbon. Judging will be by two local senior high school art/photography students and their teacher. Ribbons will be awarded on the first day of the exhibit to the First, Second, and Third place winners in each category. There will also be one Honorable Mention ribbon awarded in each category. We will have a People’s Choice ribbon, which will be awarded for the favorite photo voted for by attendees of the exhibit. Besides the ribbons and accolades which will accompany them, this year’s winning photos will be displayed at the Hands Across the Highway art show held at the OTOW Cultural Center in March.
